My Medical Ally
Eligibility Note: All retirees and their extended family members are eligible to use this benefit.
My Medical Ally helps you confidently make medical decisions and get better care by:
- Connecting you with top specialists for healthcare decisions and second opinions (virtually or in person)
- Helping you understand your condition and treatment options, including surgery decision support
- Finding the best doctors and hospitals
- Providing support for stress or other mental health concerns
Support from My Medical Ally’s expert clinical team is completely confidential and independent from Atmos Energy and BCBSTX.
This benefit is available at no cost to all Atmos Energy retirees and their family members (including spouses, children, parents, in-laws, siblings, nieces, nephews, etc.).
Expert Second Opinion
If you are facing a serious medical condition or weighing treatment options, a second opinion can give you greater confidence in your care and may lead to better outcomes.

Surgery Decision Support
Knowledge is power. Surgery Decision Support® is a program that helps you weigh the risks, benefits, and alternative treatment options so you can choose what works best for you.
In many cases, non-surgical treatments may be just as effective as surgery for knee and hip replacements, lower back surgeries, weight loss surgeries, and hysterectomies. If your doctor recommends one of these five surgeries, My Medical Ally can help you evaluate your options and decide whether surgery is the right path forward.

Cariloop
Eligibility Note: All retirees and their extended family members are eligible to use this benefit.
Cariloop is a caregiver support program that provides access to Care Coaches and a secure platform for you and your family—whomever you consider family. This program is provided to all Atmos Energy retirees at no cost.
Cariloop’s Care Coaches are experienced healthcare professionals available to help you coordinate care for a loved one or even yourself. They provide research, guidance, and support for any medical, financial, legal, emotional, or family support challenges including:
- Adults and elder care (Detailed vetting of care providers, understanding diagnoses and treatments, understanding the cost of care, navigating legal caregiving needs, health conditions, emotional support)
- Pediatrics and child care (Navigating childhood medical and developmental needs; vetting pediatric specialists; family support resources; care options including daycare, babysitters/nannies, etc.; after school activities and summer programs; mental wellness)
- Understanding how to pay for care
- Filling out important legal caregiving documents (wills, POAs, DNRs, etc.)
- Understanding Medicare, Medicaid, VA, or CHIP benefits
- Finding appropriate care providers (skilled nursing, behavioral health programs, rehab, home health, hospice, etc.)

Rightway

Rightway is a free benefit concierge benefit available to pre-65 retirees and their family members. Our dedicated Rightway team will guide you through a better healthcare experience by providing unlimited access to a live health advocate to assist you with your Atmos Energy benefit needs.
For those enrolled in the Atmos Energy Retiree Medical Plan through BCBSTX, Rightway can:

The 24/7 Nurseline connects pre-65 retirees and their immediate family members with experienced registered nurses who can help you make informed healthcare decisions. Call the Nurseline from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada—24 hours a day, 7 days a week—to speak one-on-one with a nurse who can:
- Help you decide whether to call your doctor or seek care
- Answer questions about prescriptions, tests, or surgeries
- Provide guidance for common health concerns like colds, flu, injuries, or skin issues
